I found yoga in 2004... or perhaps it found me.
Being a dancer growing up, I always loved stretching and movement and I fell easily in love with yoga. I developed a home practice that soon formed easily into sadanas. I found that it was easier for me to get in touch with my deeper self and helped me to be more open for meditation and connecting with God. In 2011 I went to my first Kundalini Yoga class and that was it! I had found MY yoga. As much as I still love Hatha, I loved how Kundalini seems to work quickly and calm my mind.
I received my 200 KRI Aquarian Teacher Certification studying with Mukta Kaur and Dr. Gurusahay Khalsa, who are both first generation Kundalini Teachers.
I'm also a Grounded Kids Yoga teacher and I love to include art into my children's classes and in special workshops for adults. I've found that our natural, creative self is awakened and flows more easily after yoga and meditation.
I have been married to my husband for 30 years and we have been blessed with four children who have enriched our lives in every way. I was a stay at home mom for many years and had the adventure of "unschooling" our children for 9 years or so of those years. We enjoy the arts, nature, music and good food. I especially love to be with my family and to be in or near the water.
